Reggaeton, mambo, merengue and ballads characterise Maluma's music. In 2010, the Colombian, born Juan Luis Londoño Arias in 1994, landed a hit in his home country with the song ‘Farandulera’. at the age of sixteen, Maluma signed his first record deal. In 2012, the singer released his debut album ‘Magia’. After ‘Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy’, the third album ‘F.A.M.E’ was released in 2018, which went double platinum in Latin America. This was followed a year later by ‘11:11’, ‘Papi Juancho’ in 2020 and most recently ‘Don Juan’ in 2023.
In a music career spanning just over a decade, Maluma has already achieved what many artists dream of all their lives. The singer has produced songs with Madonna, Shakira, Jason Derulo and Ricky Martin, plays sold-out concerts all over the world every year and has been honoured several times at MTV, the Latin Billboard and the Lo Nuestro Awards. Maluma also has a Latin Grammy in his collection.
