Founded in Bakersfield in the early 1990s, Korn is considered one of the pioneering bands for nu-metal. The band combines elements from various genres such as metal, hip-hop, industrial and alternative. Korn released their self-titled debut in 1994. Commercial success came in 1998 with the album ‘Follow the Leader’, which featured songs such as ‘Freak on a Leash’ and ‘Got the Life’. To date, Korn have released 14 studio albums - most recently ‘Requiem’ in 2022. The band has undergone several personnel changes over the course of their music career. The group currently consists of Jonathan Davis, James Shaffer, Brian Welch, Reginald Arvizu and Ray Luzier.
